What you can rely on here, and what you cannot.
VeCondo publishes evidence about buildings, with its provenance attached. These terms describe what that evidence establishes, what happens to documents you submit, and how to get something corrected.

01The pilot
VeCondo is a pilot. The ten sample building dossiers on this site are synthetic test fixtures — fabricated to exercise the evidence model — and are labelled as such. They describe no real building, strata corporation, developer, contractor, or person, and any resemblance to a real record is not intended and should not be read as one.
The 3D map is a different case: its geometry is built from real building footprints and real published height or floor-count data. Where a building has no published height, it is drawn at a placeholder height and labelled as a placeholder. Map geometry is a reconstruction for orientation — it is not a survey, and it does not establish boundaries, dimensions, area, or anything you would measure.
02What the evidence establishes
- An evidence class is a claim about sourcing, not about truth. “Document verified” means a document was obtained and a claim was read at a specific page. It does not mean the document was correct.
- Absence is not clearance. “No evidence located” means VeCondo did not find a record. It is never a statement that no issue exists, and must not be repeated to anyone as one.
- Inference is labelled and never styled as verified. Where a model has inferred something, it is marked as inference and carries no more weight than that.
- VeCondo is not professional advice. It is not legal, financial, engineering, insurance, appraisal, or real-estate advice, and it is not a substitute for a strata-document review, a building inspection, or a lawyer. It is a preliminary check that tells you what to ask about.
03Documents you submit
By submitting a document you confirm that you are entitled to share it — as an owner, resident, council member, manager, professional acting with instructions, or because it is already a public record — and that you are not breaching a confidentiality obligation by doing so.
inferred You keep ownership of what you submit. You grant VeCondo a non-exclusive licence to store the original, process it through the evidence pipeline described in Methodology, and publish extracted, redacted claims from it with a citation back to the source. That licence needs to survive withdrawal of the document for as long as a published claim depends on it, because a claim whose source has been deleted is no longer evidence — the mechanics of withdrawal are not yet fixed. What happens to your submission in privacy terms is set out in Privacy.
Do not submit documents you obtained unlawfully, documents subject to a sealing order or publication ban, or material whose primary content is personal information about a resident rather than information about the building.
04Corrections and disputes
If a building record is wrong, say so and we will look at the source. Corrections are made against evidence, not against pressure — and equally, a record is not defended out of stubbornness when the source does not support it. Send the building, the specific claim, and what you say is correct to corrections@vecondo.com. Strata councils and property managers correcting their own building are prioritised.
Corrections are recorded rather than performed silently: the record shows that it changed. Nobody can pay to remove verified information. Advertising, sponsorship, and referral relationships have no influence on what evidence is shown or how it is classified.
05Acceptable use
- Do not scrape, bulk-download, or redistribute the database wholesale.
- Do not present VeCondo output as a rating, score, certification, or clearance of a building — it is none of those.
- Do not strip evidence classes, citations, or missing-evidence notices when quoting a record. The qualification is the substance.
- Do not use VeCondo to harass, identify, or profile residents.
- Do not use it to make an automated decision about a person — a mortgage, an insurance rate, a tenancy.
06Availability
This is a pilot and carries no uptime commitment. Content, coverage, and structure change without notice. Pages may be added, changed, or withdrawn.
07Liability
inferred VeCondo is provided as-is during the pilot, without warranty of accuracy or completeness, and is not to be relied on as the basis of a purchase, financing, insurance, or legal decision. The intended allocation of risk — limits, exclusions, and any cap — has not been drafted, and nothing here should be read as VeCondo having accepted or excluded liability for anything.
08Governing law
inferred VeCondo is operated from British Columbia, Canada, and BC law is the expected governing law. Forum and dispute-resolution provisions have not been settled.
