A building has a history. Most buyers never see it.
VeCondo assembles what is actually documented about a condo building — repairs, permits, special levies, legal decisions, governance, rules — and shows the evidence behind every line, including the lines where the evidence is missing.

01What VeCondo is
A condo listing describes a unit. It rarely describes the building the unit sits in: the envelope repair that ran three years over, the special levy that followed, the elevator that has been out four times this year, the tribunal decision nobody indexed. That information exists — in minutes, engineering reports, permit registries, tribunal decisions, depreciation reports — but it is scattered across formats and institutions that were never designed to be read together.
VeCondo collects those documents, extracts what they say, and keeps the original alongside the claim. Every fact carries an evidence class and a citation back to a specific page of a specific document. Nothing is scored, ranked, or rated. See Methodology for the full pipeline and Sources for where the material comes from.
02What VeCondo is not
- Not a rating service. No stars, no scores, no “good building / bad building” labels, no AI purchase recommendations.
- Not a substitute for due diligence. It is a preliminary check that tells you what to ask about — not a replacement for a lawyer, an inspector, or a full strata-document review.
- Not a listings portal. VeCondo does not sell units and does not rank buildings for sale.
- Not a clean bill of health. “No evidence located” means exactly that. It never becomes “no problem exists.”
03The rule that governs everything else
Nobody can pay to remove verified information. Advertising, sponsorship, referral relationships, and brokerage commissions cannot influence what evidence is shown or how it is classified. Negative evidence stays visible even when it costs us a transaction. Sponsored relationships are labelled as sponsored wherever they appear.
04Where the project is today
VeCondo is in pilot. Two things are true at once, and we would rather say both plainly than let the polish imply otherwise:
- The map is real. Buildings on the 3D map are reconstructed from real footprints and real height or floor-count data for Downtown Vancouver and Brentwood, Burnaby. Where a building has no published height, it is drawn as a placeholder and labelled as one — never quietly invented.
- The ten sample dossiers are synthetic. The building records used to exercise the interface are fabricated test fixtures, labelled as such on every page. They exist to stress the evidence model. They make no claim about any real building or strata corporation.
Coverage expands district by district, and real document ingestion follows the map rather than leading it. We would rather cover a small area with defensible evidence than a large one with guesses.
05VePlace
VeCondo is a VePlace product. VePlace builds place-level infrastructure — spatial data, building geometry, and the map engine that VeCondo renders. VeCondo is the evidence layer on top of it: the documents, the extraction pipeline, and the record of what is known about each building.
The two share a rule. VePlace draws only what the source data supports, and VeCondo states only what a document supports. Anything modelled, estimated, or inferred is visually distinct from anything verified, in both.
